Manawatu shortlist assessment closes 25 October

If you want to have your say on the replacement route for the permanently closed Manawatu Gorge, you have less than a week to do so.

The NZ Transport Agency says many people have turned up at public open days to discuss the options they have identified for further detailed investigation and design.

The four shortlisted options will be assessed against a range of factors, including: transport performance, cost and constructability, culture and heritage, landscape and visual, social impacts, and environmental effects.

Feedback on the shortlisted options closes Wednesday 25 October. Those interested can use NZTA‘s Social Pinpoint online tool or feedback form, which together with a map of the shortlisted options and more information, can be found on their website at www.nzta.govt.nz/manawatu-gorge. You can also email your feedback to manawatugorge@nzta.govt.nz.
