Seven hundred students were taken through the programme, starting with a talk by NZ Trucking Association CEO Dave Boyce, and then moving through the marquee where the picture cards and interactive dioramas help push the safety around big trucks message home. From there participants moved to the real thing, getting the opportunity to sit in a real truck and try to spot the cyclist who had been positioned in the blind spot area. 

From this launch event the road show will tour the country, visiting schools and community interest groups of all ages.
