Booth’s acquires Coda Group Bay of Plenty business

Booth’s Logistics has acquired Coda Group’s Mount Distribution Centre and Bay of Plenty Transport Operations.
The transition is expected to be complete by 30 May 2025.
“This move offers enhanced capabilities for our customers through Booth’s Logistics’ decades of experience, strong customer focus, operational excellence, and commitment to local heritage,” Coda Group said.
“It’s business as usual for our customers and partners, whom we greatly value. We couldn’t be more excited for the opportunities ahead as we continue Coda Group’s commitment to delivering high-quality service for New Zealand’s freight and transport needs.”
The announcement follows Coda’s sale earlier this month of its Auckland 3PL Transport, Auckland Freight Station (FAK), and Rolleston distribution centre to ACFS Port Logistics NZ, a division of Australian-based ACFS Port Logistics.
Coda Group was established in 2015 through the merger of five logistics firms—Tapper Transport, Priority Logistics, Metrobox, Metropack and DTL — and is a joint venture between Kotahi and the Port of Tauranga.
Early last year, Booth’s Logistics announced the expansion of its Wellington footprint from three to six sites, and in August 2024 the company announced new depots in Auckland and New Plymouth to strengthen service capability across key freight corridors.
