Fuso NZ‘s new national sales manager Cameron Childs brings a wealth of industry experience and passion to the evolving business. He arrives at a time when next-generation technology in Canter, Shogun and the soon-to-arrive eCanter is rolling out the door – delivering greater levels of safety and efficiency under the new brand direction ‘We look after our own‘.

Childs will be working to deliver on that commitment at ground level, working with individual dealerships across the country to ensure a unified approach to customer service that is second to none.

“Having the opportunity to work with a business that prioritises safety as one of the central features of its new product range has been a big draw for me,” said Childs.

“Looking at the bigger picture, FUSO is a lot more than selling trucks – it‘s about providing expert consultancy and advice for every client that comes through the door,” said Childs. “We want businesses to come back to us time and time again.”

Having been involved in vehicle sales his full working life – the past 16 years dedicated entirely to the trucking industry – Childs says he has ‘transport in his blood‘ and is especially inspired by his latest role.

“I love this industry and FUSO is a business that is really going places. Behind all the new product being rolled out this year is a committed team full of great people, all working towards the common goal of being the best in the market. That‘s an exciting culture to be a part of,” said Childs.

“I‘ve already met with dealers to better understand how we can support and build on the successes they have already achieved. There‘s always room for improvement – we want to go from good to great and provide every dealer with the same opportunity for success, wherever they are in the country.”

Fuso NZ managing director Kurtis Andrews said the creation of the national sales manager role “demonstrates our commitment to customers that we really do look after own”.

“That means building a trusted relationship with operators, providing whole fleet solutions and remaining invested in the success of their businesses for the long term.

“Our network of dedicated, passionate dealers are our representatives on the ground and, by bringing Cameron on board, we are stepping up the level of support we are able to provide them with.

“We welcome Cameron to the FUSO family – his experience and insights will add immense value to our business and our customers.”
