CCS Logistics announces partnership with DT Driver Training
CCS Logistics, one of New Zealand‘s leading fleet performance support companies, has formed a partnership with DT Driver Training.
The partnership enables CCS Logistics to help transport fleets to unlock benefits from targeted online training delivered through DT‘s driver training platform.
“We‘ve been trialling DT‘s courses and we are confident they‘re a good fit for drivers and managers,” says CCS Logistics general manager Corinne Watson. “Driver training is an important investment in the safety of your drivers. We can help customers select courses and modules appropriate to their operating environment and manage the system set up and kick off. We also report on driver results, either as a standalone service, or in conjunction with GPS driver behaviour interpretation and benchmarking to assist with comprehensive fleet safety management.”
More focus is being placed on upskilling drivers to mitigate increasing traffic volumes, increasing fuel prices and an escalating road toll. The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 places additional requirements on employers and drivers.
“We work with each fleet to get the right balance of road code refreshers, driver health and safety, fuel economy and advanced driving skills modules to suit the specific demands on their drivers,” says Watson.
DT Driver Training director Darren Cottingham says for busy transport managers, having a third-party who can analyse driver training data and suggest actions saves valuable time and delivers a better training result.
“As CCS Logistics already understands their clients‘ objectives, adding targeted training into the equation gives an extra performance advantage.”
