Roger Gray has been appointed as the new chief executive officer at Ports of Auckland.
He will take up the role from 4 April 2022.
“I am delighted that Roger will be taking on this critical role leading the Ports of Auckland as we play our part in the Auckland and New Zealand supply chain,” said Ports of Auckland’s board chair Jan Dawson.
“Roger and the Board are committed to delivering a safe and productive workplace, serving our customers and stakeholders well.”
Gray had been CEO of Lyttelton Port Company since February 2020 and prior to that has worked at a senior level in large, complex businesses with a focus on the supply chain and logistics.
Before joining LPC, Roger worked for Air New Zealand for six and a half years. His last role was group general manager airports.
“Roger brings a great deal of experience to the role of CEO of Ports of Auckland, and I am looking forward to working with him to realise the potential of the business and its people,” Dawson said.
Gray takes over from interim CEO Wayne Thompson.
