Next-gen Isuzu N and F Series coming soon

Isuzu New Zealand has confirmed that the all-new Isuzu N and F Series light and medium-duty truck ranges will begin arriving in dealerships from August 2025.
The highly anticipated launch follows a successful customer and dealer visit to the Brisbane Truck Show, hosted by Isuzu New Zealand, where the next-generation trucks were showcased.
Featuring significant advancements in emissions compliance, safety, and performance, the new models represent the latest evolution of Isuzu’s legendary truck platform.
Headlining the update is the introduction of Euro VI and pPNLT emissions-compliant powertrains, paired with all-new cab designs, advanced safety technology, and new engine and transmission combinations tailored to the diverse needs of Kiwi operators.
“These next-generation models represent the most advanced trucks we’ve ever brought to market,” said David Ballantyne, general manager, Isuzu New Zealand.
“Isuzu was the leading truck brand for sales in both the light-duty (N Series) and medium-duty (F Series) segments >3500kg GVM in New Zealand in 2024, and this new product line-up builds significantly on that success. With improved safety, enhanced environmental credentials, and new drivetrain technologies, our customers are getting trucks that are smarter, safer, and even more capable.”
The new F Series range is headlined by the introduction of the DB6A 6-cylinder engine, jointly developed by Isuzu and Cummins and assembled at Isuzu’s Tochigi engine plant in Japan.
Delivering up to 300PS, the engine brings increased torque, Euro VI compliance, and features an integrated engine head compression brake for enhanced retarding power – an invaluable asset for New Zealand’s varied terrain.
Additionally, the new F Series models boast a redesigned cab focused on improved ergonomics, Bi-LED headlights with DRL and Adaptive Driving Beam, and a higher level of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Most models will also be equipped with a full air EBS disc brake system, providing better braking performance and reduced maintenance needs.
The new N Series line-up brings versatility and safety to the fore with an expanded range of 31 variants, including new engine ratings and the introduction of a nine-speed two-pedal Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) in select models – offering seamless gear changes and enhanced drivability, particularly in urban delivery settings.
The new cab chassis design incorporates Isuzu’s IMAC-S design concept, with enhanced comfort, and modern ergonomics.
Across both the N and F Series, safety has taken a major leap forward, with the new models offering a significantly enhanced suite of ADAS features, including Lane Departure Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and Adaptive Cruise Control, depending on the model.
The first models to arrive in New Zealand from August will be the six-cylinder F Series, with additional F Series and N Series variants to follow progressively throughout the remainder of 2025.
“Our combined range of N and F Series trucks will offer customers a choice of 60 models initially and Dealers are now taking orders for F Series, with N Series to follow shortly. As transport operators continue to navigate tighter emissions regulations and increased safety expectations, this next generation of Isuzu trucks delivers where it matters most,” added Ballantyne.
“These are workhorses designed for modern business needs — reliable, efficient, and future-ready.”
