OEX has expanded its safety lighting portfolio with the release of its new Emergency Light Bar – a robust, high-visibility solution designed to complement its popular Mini Light Bar, offering significantly greater presence and power.

Described as the Mini Light Bar’s “big brother”, the new Emergency Light Bar is noticeably larger, taller and designed for applications that demand even higher levels of visibility. Measuring 70mm wide, 200mm deep and 83mm high, the unit is ideal for emergency, industrial, and roadside applications where visibility and durability are essential.

The Mini Light Bar offered a compact, low-profile option for tight spaces or discreet mounting, whereas the new model delivers a commanding presence. Mounted using adjustable lightweight plastic brackets, the bar is suitable for a wide range of vehicle types and configurations, offering users flexibility without compromising on performance.

At its core, the Emergency Light Bar delivers high-output illumination from 168 amber LEDs, all of which are housed beneath a clear outer lens. The bar supports 10 selectable amber flash patterns, giving operators control over the visual signal, according to the application or environment.

The unit is fully multi-volt (12–24V), allowing it to be used across a variety of vehicles and battery systems. It also meets key international performance and compliance standards, including:

  • SAE J845 Class 1 / ECE R65 class 2 for brightness and visibility
  • IP67 for water and dust protection – crucial for rugged or outdoor conditions
  • ECE R10 / CISPR25 class 3, certifying it for electromagnetic compatibility and ensuring zero radio interference.

OEX says the bar has been tested to ensure it doesn’t interfere with other electronics, making it a smart choice for modern fleets with sensitive telematics and communications systems.

As safety regulations tighten and demand increases for durable, compliant lighting options, this latest addition to the OEX lineup looks set to hit the mark with emergency services, contractors, and operators working in challenging environments.

The Emergency Light Bar officially launches this month, joining a growing range of electrical and lighting solutions engineered to meet the needs of New Zealand’s commercial and heavy transport industries.

For operators seeking to enhance their fleet’s visibility and compliance without compromising performance or adaptability, OEX’s latest release provides a compelling blend of functionality, durability, and ease of installation.
