The new role was created to oversee all operational functions, and reflects the growth of EROAD‘s global business. Clayton will be responsible for corporate, manufacturing, and research and development operations in EROAD‘s global markets.

Clayton joined EROAD in 2008 as a solutions architect and has held several key positions at the company. Most recently he has been executive vice president of engineering, managing a team of 70.

“Jarred was one of our first software engineers and was instrumental in building our initial platform,” says EROAD chief executive officer Steven Newman. “He has extensive knowledge of EROAD‘s business, products and technology, and has been vital to the company‘s success. This new position acknowledges not only our growth but also our determination that Jarred should play a central role in EROAD‘s future plans.”

Clayton said EROAD‘s track record of product innovation and its dedication to providing real value to customers continued to inspire him. “I‘ve seen EROAD develop from a tiny start-up into a global business that employs close to 200 people, and I‘m excited to be here for the company‘s next phase of growth.”

EROAD is a fully integrated technology, tolling and services provider, and was the first company to implement a GNSS/cellular-based road charging solution across an entire country.

Clayton took up his new role on 7 July.
