Chris Mackey leaving Trucks & Trailers

Trucks & Trailers co-owner Chris Mackey has sold his share of the business to colleague and good friend Mark Wright.

Mackey started in 1996 as a salesman at Trucks & Trailers, the North Island dealership for Mercedes-Benz Truck & Van and Freightliner Truck sales, service, and parts. The company‘s founder, Don Wright, saw his potential and took him under his wing, and 16 years later Mackey became co-owner of the business with Mark Wright.

Mackey has a wealth of knowledge in the industry. An expert in his field, he has been instrumental in the development and growth of the company, along with the brands it represents. Over time he has built a great reputation and developed many strong friendships with operators in New Zealand.

Mackey‘s health over the past two years has resulted in him making the difficult decision to sell his half of the company to Wright.

The two have built a solid foundation with strong leadership and a great team in place. Trucks & Trailers have some exciting growth plans and new products on the horizon and are confident the company‘s strong success will continue.
