Do you have Hino‘s toughest truck?

2 MinutesBy NZ Trucking magazineJune 1, 2017

Hino is looking for New Zealand‘s Toughest Hino and they‘re offering an amazing prize for the one they judge to be the toughest.

“It could belong to anyone,” says Hino general manager Michael Doeg. “The oldest, the most reliable, the highest mileage or just the one with the best story. No matter how people define tough – we want to hear about it.”

All you need to do is send in a picture of your Hino truck along with 100 words or fewer on why you think it deserves to be New Zealand‘s Toughest Hino.

The winner will earn themselves an all expenses paid trip for two worth $3,000 to attend the NZ Road Transport Hall of Fame Dinner, where 2017‘s Hall of Fame inductees will be announced. This event, which attracts about 600 people, is held at Bill Richardson‘s Transport World in Invercargill, one of the best private automotive museums of its type in the world. Hino NZ and other key industry members will host the lucky winner.

“We love how much our customers love their trucks, and it’s a really passionate community,” says Doeg. “This is about creating a place to share and highlight the stories of Hinos around New Zealand. We make Hino trucks to be durable, reliable, and built to last, so we want to see who‘s made the most of that in action.”

Doeg will judge the competition, alongside Randolph Covich, editor of Deals on Wheels magazine. “We‘ll be looking for the truck that embodies Hinos‘ quality, durability, reliability promise. A vehicle that any truckie would be proud to own.”

Entries can be shared through www.facebook/com/HinoNZ or via email at toughesthino@hino.co.nz.
The competition closes 31 August 2017. Details are available at
