Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. is named on Forbes‘ Global 2000 list of the World‘s Best Employers.

The only company to earn a place on the list in the trucking category, Old Dominion ranked within the top 500 companies globally. The magazine compiled its Top 500 list by analysing more than 430,000 employee recommendations from around the world. Companies on the World‘s Best Employers list have high approval in areas including reputation and working conditions.

“Our people are the foundation of our ability to help our customers keep their promises, and we‘re pleased that Forbes recognised our company for being a place where people are proud to work, and that our employees felt strongly enough to vocalise it,” said Greg Gantt, president and CEO at Old Dominion Freight Line.

Forbes previously recognised Old Dominion as a Best Employer in 2015.

“We provide jobs that offer a high quality of life for more than 23,000 employees across the U.S,” said Gantt. “More importantly, our OD Family culture that values safety, reliability, courtesy, responsiveness and professionalism continues to drive our business. Our customers can see it, and they know we‘re able to consistently deliver outstanding customer service with the best, on-time services and lowest claims ratio.”
