Hyundai New Zealand has expanded its van offering with a chilled vehicle solution – an iLoad freezer and chiller van. 

Working alongside Hyundai Motor Company and a transport refrigeration supplier, the refrigerated van is available on special order through the Hyundai New Zealand dealer network. The vehicle is based on the usual iLoad 2.5 Diesel automatic.

The Hyundai iLoad freezer and chiller van will maintain a temperature of -20°C depending on the load. Features of the iLoad chiller van include:

• large refrigeration box with 600kg payload (2,180mm length x 1,420mm wide x 1,155mm high)

• twin compressors for separate air-conditioning and refrigerator operation

• excellent refrigeration performance with 50-70mm urethane insulation 

• an emergency button has been fitted in the refrigeration unit for enhanced safety

• tie-down hooks to secure cargo

• ribbed stainless steel floor makes for easy cleaning

• lighting in the refrigeration unit for visibility.

Hyundai New Zealand has appointed Transcold as the service agent to provide the product with support and servicing.

Hyundai New Zealand general manager, Andy Sinclair, says: “Our freezer and chiller van will likely suit a wide range of small to medium sized businesses that deal with chilled goods such as flowers, fruit and vege, beverages, dairy, meat, seafood, and more. 

“It‘s a useful multi-purpose van as can be used for transporting regular or chilled goods and transporting three passengers. Its compact size makes it perfect for metro and household deliveries, and we believe it‘s one of the most affordable new chilled vehicles in the market.”
