MAHA New Zealand has shown off its install at the new Vehicle Inspection New Zealand Station (VINZ) in Palmerston North.

MAHA is a brake and suspension testing equipment supplier that manufactures, supplies, installs, repairs and calibrates its equipment.

The equipment installed at the VINZ facility includes the MAHA 20T Roller Brake Tester for dynamic brake testing and gross weight, the MAHA Rising Bed option for dynamic load simulation, and the MAHA 20T Axle Play detector.

The new testing facility is a drive-on/drive-off site with iPad operation for the inspector. Wheels are rolled at 3km/h while the drag, brake force, load simulation, imbalance and gross weight are all checked in the same process. The vehicle is then parked with the axle on the suspension tester and checked for defects underneath.

MAHA says the benefits of this testing process include time efficiency, speed and safety during load simulation, accuracy, repeatability, dependability, and a minimal staffing requirement for hassle-free operation.

The VINZ testing facility is one of MAHA‘s larger installations. The attention to detail shown in this flagship facility and the streamlined and coordinated fit-out conducted by its technical team, provide a high quality and productive operation. MAHA invites all customers to come and talk to them about how technology and process can improve your fleet downtime. For any MAHA enquiries please contact MAHA using the details below.

“We are particularly proud to show new customers this fit-out because it showcases the standard and quality of the German engineering behind the MAHA brand,” says MAHA New Zealand managing director Michael Lauster.
