Geemac Trading (NZ) Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Callum McKendry to the Geemac and Isringhausen sales team.

Callum has a sales and marketing background, having completed his commerce degree at Otago, majoring in marketing. He has also extensive knowledge of the company, being the son of Gordon and Jan McKendry, who have owned and operated Geemac Trading since 1989.

Specialising in drivers‘ and operators‘ seats, Geemac represents the well-respected Isringhausen brand of seats, often referred to as ‘The world‘s best drivers‘ seat‘.

ISRI seats are standard equipment in the majority of trucks sold in New Zealand and Australia, and are also the seat of choice in the New Zealand bus and coach sectors, and Geemac is the preferred supplier for KiwiRail.

Geemac also own subsidiary company Seats (NZ) Limited, making them New Zealand‘s largest seat supplier in the transport market.

“Callum will bring youth and plenty of computer savvy skills to modernise Geemac,” said Gordon McKendry. “It is nice to bring the next generation into the company while the old generation can learn new skills themselves and spend a bit more time with key customers.”

Gordon said that Callum is a people person and will be hitting the road talking to operators about the safety and comfort of ISRI seats.

“Drivers are our most important asset in the industry and a good ISRI seat is the answer to keeping them healthy, safe and happy,” said Gordon.

Callum starts his new role 9 April.
