New look, same service

Father and son duo Rick and Grant Ranger have recently taken ownership of Auckland Truck Alignment in Papatoetoe. The Rangers took over on 1 April, the deal coming about after Rick took his truck in for wheel alignment and thought it would be a good business buy. The owner of 22 years, Neil Smith, agreed to sell, and the company now enters a new era.

Auckland Truck Alignment is an established name in heavy-commercial tyre, wheel alignment and suspension maintenance. Those who know the business can expect the same service levels to continue as the new owners add their touch.

All the same services, including truck and trailer wheel alignment, tyres, suspension repairs, and on- and off-truck wheel balancing, remain on offer. The business continues as a member of the New Zealand Heavy Transport Wheel Aligners Association, which incorporates the biggest players of the heavy- commercial vehicle wheel- alignment industry. Members must work to a code, and all equipment is audited and kept up to standards dictated by the association.

“The business is going through a bit of rebranding at the moment, and we’re giving the building a facelift,” says Grant.
