CrediFlex in Hawke‘s Bay has welcomed partner Ian White to the team.

Ian has spent most of his life in just two careers – road transport and sales/finance.

“Road transport covered many years, approximately 20, which started with driving trucks at a fairly young age,” says Ian. “I was put into an operations role shortly after and never went back to driving.”

Ian worked as an operations manager for 12 years with two companies and then became a branch manager with one for more than six years.

“I had been seeking to get out of transport and made the move to selling forklifts with AB equipment. After four years I was approached by UDC to join them, which was my starting point in the finance industry.”

Ian says he enjoyed his time with UDC but when he was offered a role with Marac, he decided it was time for a new challenge.

“Marac did have many things in their offer which brought about the change. Marac of course became Heartland Bank and the rest is history,” says Ian.

Ian and his wife Shona have three children and one grandchild. When not spending time with his family, Ian enjoys playing in the real estate market, fishing and motorcycling.
