Penske New Zealand will open the doors to its brand new, state-of-the-art Christchurch facility 4 February.

To coincide with the opening, local commercial vehicle dealer, Heavy Trucks, is joining the Penske New Zealand family and will relocate to the new Penske Christchurch site.

The new facility will provide full retail sales, parts, and service support for the Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, Dennis Eagle, MTU, and Detroit brands.

Customers will continue to receive the great service they were accustomed to with Heavy Trucks, while also benefiting from the broader Penske New Zealand network.

“We are very excited to open the doors to our brand new facility and to welcome the Heavy Trucks employees to the Penske New Zealand family,” said Jim Livermore, director of Penske New Zealand.

“With our new Christchurch facility, we will be able to build on the great reputation that Heavy Trucks has earned in the South Island for exceptional customer service.”

Situated on 11,500m2 of land, the purpose-built Christchurch facility comprises 1860m2 of workshop space, a 500m2 parts warehouse, and 900m2 of office space and amenities.

“The state-of-the-art workshop houses 18 truck bays, a machine shop, a drive-through wash bay, and two full-length service pits fitted out with the latest servicing equipment,” Livermore said.

The new Penske facility is located at 2 Headquarters Place, Hornby South, Christchurch.
