Royans Christchurch shifts gears into a new heavy vehicle repair facility

Royans Christchurch is on the move – relocating to a purpose-built Heavy Accident Repair facility at 24 Aruhe Road, Hornby. Keeping trucks, buses, and heavy machinery in top shape is vital for New Zealand’s transport operators. The new accident repair facility opened on 1 November 2025, marking a major investment in New Zealand’s largest heavy vehicle accident repair network, expanding Royans’ ability to deliver industry-leading accident repair service, technology, and turnaround times for commercial vehicles of every size.

The new heavy-vehicle accident-repair facility is a one stop-shop offering:

  • Bus, coach and campervan accident repairs/ refurbishments
  • Spray painting and refinishing (including custom paintwork)
  • Chassis alignment/ straightening plus heavy structural repairs
  • Sandblasting/abrasive blasting (for chassis, parts, large equipment)
  • Equipment and machinery accident repairs (earth-moving, farm, industrial machinery)
  • Fleet imaging and signwriting (graphic/wrap work for fleet branding).

The new facility includes 2700m² of workshop space plus 216m² of dedicated offices and amenities, with fit outs for internal gantry cranes, spray booths, chassis alignment, wash bay, and more.

As of 1 November 2025, operations and customer servicing will be based entirely at 24 Aruhe Road. For customers who have previously been served at 60 Treffers Road, Wigram or 108-A Hayton Road, Sockburn, all services will shift to 24 Aruhe Road, Hornby. All enquiries, bookings, drop-offs, repairs, and collections formerly handled at those sites will now be managed at the new facility.
