Scania’s BEV awarded Sustainable Truck of the Year

The Scania 25 P BEV has been named as Italy’s Sty 2022 Sustainable Truck of the Year award in the Distribution category.

It’s the third time Scania has won this category. This time, the Scania 25 P BEV came out top in the jury’s deliberations on a wide range of elements, including powertrain, fuel type, transmission, security systems, comfort, connectivity, and general sustainability in terms of recyclability of components plus total cost of operation.

“This award is further confirmation of the technological level achieved by Scania in the field of sustainable transport,” said Italscania’s chief executive and president Enrique Enrich.

“Electric solutions are relevant for a wide range of applications, especially in the short and medium-range transport sector, due to local regulations for zero polluting and noise emissions.”
