A new survey has launched that looks into the wages and conditions of truck drivers.

The survey, which is being conducted by First Union with support from the Transport and Logistics System Group, spans the entire transport industry and hopes to lead to the establishment of new, higher standards of work.

“Truck drivers deserve to be recognised and rewarded for their essential work, and better conditions will help us attract and retain drivers in Aotearoa too,” the union said. “What are your working conditions like right now? What would it take to make them even better? Fill out this survey to have your say.”

The survey is voluntary and anonymous, and participants can go into the draw to win one of three $80 Prezzy cards.
