One of the country‘s largest logistics and transport firms, TIL Logistics Group, is upgrading its in-vehicle regulatory telematics technology to EROAD‘s Ehubo2 to make the most of advanced electronic health and safety compliance services.

TIL Logistics CEO Alan Pearson said the company was using its contract renewal with EROAD to ensure all its fleets were equipped with the latest hardware, enabling it to provide its drivers, fleet managers and customers better support throughout the logistics supply chain.

“Looking after our people as well as our customers is at the heart of how we operate. EROAD‘s second-generation driver support, vehicle monitoring and other health and safety services are an important part of this,” he said.

Pearson said the contract with EROAD covered up to 2000 vehicles and trailers across TIL Logistics‘ business units.

Health and safety regulations emphasising chain of responsibility meant that operators needed to know with much greater certainty what was occurring in these work environments, and EROAD‘s services enabled both better support to drivers and more transparent accountability and compliance, said Pearson.

EROAD‘s chief executive Steven Newman said the company was delighted to extend its partnership of six years with TIL Logistics Group and to further enhance services to its fleets.

Newman said that the regulatory telematics space continued to evolve rapidly.

“Regulatory compliance would increasingly rely upon electronic services and digital communication,” he said. “The move from paper-based checks and monitoring to more reliable and easier to manage electronic systems is at the heart of this.”
