Great weather, awesome trucks, epic location – Toki 2018

The iconic Tui Brewery in Mangatainoka hosted the annual Toki Truck Stop Show and Shine on 24 March.

Organiser Rosie Broughton said they were really pleased with the turnout this year.

“ The variety of trucks on display seemed to be keeping all of the spectators entertained, and with 23 prizes handed out there were lots of drivers heading away very happy.”

This year more fleets than ever were on display, with the coveted best fleet prize going to Satherley Logging, whose line-up included their new Kenworth Legend. “ They looked really impressive all lined up together,” said Rosie. “It was a bonus to have boxer Shane Cameron there as our celebrity judge, and I think he liked working with the Tui Brewery girls!”

As well as some gorgeous trucks, there were also free brewery tours and live music.

“ The day was topped off with fantastic weather, which was a welcome surprise,” said Rosie.

She was right about the weather, with the heavens opening not long after the prize giving ended.
