UD Trucks Japan has recently announced an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) master agreement with Isuzu for the provision of medium-duty vehicles. In a press release, Tom Chapman, Manger of Internal and External Communications at Volvo Group Australia said that it is still early days, and to avoid inaccurate reports they would like to clarify as follows.

• UD Trucks Corporation has established a master OEM agreement with Isuzu Motors Ltd to prepare for the next-level emission targets (PPNLT), with the provision of medium-duty products.
• The details of the final agreements are still being discussed in Japan.
• For the time being, UD Trucks Australia will continue to supply the current UD Trucks medium-duty model range in Australia and New Zealand.
• UD Trucks Australia is committed to meeting the demands of current and future customers with competitive product offerings.
