The 2021 TWL Great New Zealand Trucking Video Competition has been extended, and entries now close on 31 January 2021. Thank you to everyone who has already entered the competition.

There is still up to $1550 worth of prizes up for grabs, generously sponsored by TWL.

The video that gets the most views between 5pm on Tuesday 1 February 2022 and 1pm on Tuesday 8 February 2022 will win a prize pack valued at $1550. The videos with the second and third most views over this period will win prize packs valued at $980 and $640, respectively.

The trucking industry always benefits from good PR, and we think any initiative that drums up enthusiasm, passion and awareness for the industry can only be a good thing,” said Dave Butler, TWL general manager.

To enter the competition, send in your videos depicting New Zealand trucks doing New Zealand truck things in New Zealand for us to share on the New Zealand Trucking YouTube channel. Don’t worry – they don’t need to be Hollywood productions – anything is welcome. Feel free to get creative and just have fun!

“We know New Zealand is filled with truck-mad enthusiasts who love nothing more than spending their spare time around trucks, usually photographing them or recording them on the move. This is their chance to get creative and win some awesome prizes for their efforts,” said Dave McCoid, editor of New Zealand Trucking Media.

The 2020 Great New Zealand Trucking Video Competition started as a way to keep the lockdown blues at bay. That competition attracted 17 impressive entries – you can view them at the New Zealand Trucking magazine YouTube channel.

How to enter:
Video must be supplied as MP2, MP4 or MOV file format.

Please name video files with your initials and last name.

Send a short description of the video, 30 words max.

“WeTransfer” the video files and short description to comp@nztrucking.co.nz.

Rules:

• Video length: min. 1 minute, max. 5 minutes.
• Limit of 5 entries per person.
• Limited to New Zealand residents only.
• Entries open on Friday 1 October 2021 and close on Monday 31 January 2022. No entries will be accepted after that time.
• All videos will be made live to the public at 5pm on Tuesday 1 February 2022 to ensure all videos have the same viewing period. The viewing period is 5pm Tuesday 1 February 2022 to 1pm on Tuesday 8 February 2022. Winners will be determined by the number of video views over this period and prizes awarded accordingly. Winners will be announced on the New Zealand Trucking social media pages on Wednesday 9 February 2022.

Terms and conditions:
By submitting your video entries into The TWL Great New Zealand Trucking Video Competition, you grant Long Haul Publications (New Zealand Trucking magazine) the right to load all videos to its YouTube channel and for Long Haul Publications (New Zealand Trucking magazine) and TWL to promote the competition and videos on their respective digital channels. Long Haul Publications (New Zealand Trucking magazine) and TWL may use the video clips, in part or whole, for promotion of the competition or in other digital content. All such video use will be credited to the video supplier. Videos will be watermarked with the TWL logo.

No correspondence will be entered into.
