VW Commercial Vehicles globally prolongs new-vehicle and extended warranties by three months

1 MinutesBy NZ Trucking magazineMay 6, 2020

All new vehicle or extended warranties on VW Amarok, Caddy, T6/T6.1 and Crafter series vehicles expiring between 1 March and 31 May 2020 will be extended for three months after expiry.

The three-month warranty extension is a one-off, voluntary concession in order to help customers in the exceptional situation caused by Covid-19.

“Traditionally, we offer our customers flexible solutions, so we’re therefore extending the warranty period by three months,” said VWCV board of management member for sales Heinz-Jürgen Löw.

“Due to limited workshop capacities many of our partner businesses all over the world have been and continue to be unable to offer the usual vehicle maintenance service during this difficult coronavirus crisis.

“Over the past few weeks, many of our customers around the world have encountered significant limitations when wanting to have work done under their new vehicle warranty.”
